Position of Assistant Engineer (Electrical & Safety) under the Corporate Services Department.

▪︎ Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for handling all electrical and safety-related activities of Tekvision (BD) Limited. The position covers electrical operations of the substation and head office, along with ensuring compliance with all statutory and legal safety requirements. The role combines hands-on electrical responsibilities with comprehensive workplace safety management.

▪︎ Responsibilities:
• Perform all kinds of electrical-related tasks for the substation and head office facilities.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain the electrical substation to ensure an uninterrupted power
supply.
• Attend to electrical faults, breakdowns, and emergency situations promptly.
• Handle all kinds of safety-related tasks as per company policy and legal requirements.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
• Manage and maintain fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, smoke
detectors, fire alarm systems, and control panels.
• Conduct regular inspection and testing of safety equipment and electrical systems.
• Identify electrical and safety hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Maintain proper records of substation operation, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.
• Coordinate with external authorities or service providers for safety compliance and electrical
maintenance when required.
• Support safety audits, drills, and emergency preparedness activities.

▪︎ Qualifications & Skills:
• BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Practical experience in substation operation and maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of electrical safety and general workplace safety requirements.
• Familiarity with fire safety systems and statutory safety compliance.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documents.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
• Willingness to perform a mixed role covering electrical operations and all safety-related
responsibilities.
• Good documentation and reporting discipline.
