Location : Dhaka Core Responsibilities 1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Fabric Excellence: Lead the global procurement of woven fabrics (denim, twill, poplin, etc.), ensuring alignment with seasonal trends and technical specifications. Trims & Accessories Management: Oversee the sourcing of high-quality trims (buttons, zippers, rivets) and accessories, managing complex lead times to prevent production bottlenecks. Cost Optimization: Implement "Should-Cost" modeling and aggressive negotiation strategies to maintain healthy margins without compromising quality. 2. Vendor Management & Compliance Global Network: Identify, audit, and onboard tier-1 and tier-2 suppliers across key textile hubs. Performance Tracking: Maintain a rigorous Vendor Scorecard system focusing on On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery, quality pass rates, and ethical compliance. Sustainability: Drive the adoption of sustainable materials (BCI cotton, recycled polyester) and ensure all suppliers meet international labor and environmental standards. 3. Operational Planning & Logistics Demand Integration: Work closely with the Merchandising and Production teams to sync material arrivals with the Master Production Schedule (MPS). Inventory Control: Minimize "dead stock" and optimize warehouse turnover rates for raw materials. Logistics Oversight: Manage freight forwarders and customs clearing agents to ensure seamless international transit. Technical Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Textile Technology, Supply Chain Management, or MBA from a reputable institution. Experience: Minimum 12–15 years in SCM within the apparel industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role specifically focused on Woven Garments.
